What are my next steps for joining the team?

    If you make it through the audition phase you will then:

    1. Receive a Welcome email from Planning Center Online.

    2. Schedule a one-on-one with the Worship Director.

    3. Complete a Worship/Media observation period.

FAQs

  • Yes! Your audition will be held at the church and will be scheduled between you and the Worship Director.

  • Auditions are run by the Worship Director and another relevant member of the worship team.

    Vocals: You will come prepared with a worship song you’re familiar with and sing one chorus and one verse. You will also demonstrate your ability to find harmonies in your appropriate vocal range (soprano, alto, tenor, bass, etc.).

    Band: You will come prepared with a worship song you’re familiar with and play through at least one chorus and one verse.

    If you are auditioning for both band and vocals, you can use the same song for both if you so choose.

    Media and Audio volunteers do not have to complete an audition.

  • No, the worship team holds rehearsals two hours before service every Sunday.

  • Monthly scheduling depends on each volunteer’s availability, most members of the worship team serve at least twice a month.

  • As a worship team, our mission is to cultivate a lifestyle of worship on and off the platform. This means that every member of the team has a personal relationship with the Lord and is growing in Beholding Jesus, Becoming like Jesus, and Belonging in Community. We want to make sure we’re running in the same direction together!

  • The observation period is a time for you to learn the flow, responsibilities, expectations, and culture of The Springs worship team, and will vary depending on how long you’ve been attending the church, how much training you need, where you are in the church membership process, and other factors that the Worship Director may identify. That being said, the observation/shadowing period will typically last 1-3 weeks.

  • The Springs’ membership process is currently being redesigned to better suit our growing church family! Once Covenant Membership courses have resumed, attendance will be a requirement for any current or incoming team member who has not yet completed them.
