"Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."- Isaiah 43:19

We believe the gospel of Jesus changes everything. We love the city and long to see it redeemed and renewed. We envision a community where new life springs forth in the most broken and barren parts of our city and lives. For this reason, we desire to make disciples who are being transformed by the gospel that leads to transformation in every area of life.

Our Mission:

The Springs Church exists to make disciples, who are being transformed by the Gospel, for the worship of God the Father, the mission of God the Son, by the power of God the Spirit.

Our Rhythms:

We fulfill our mission by practicing these three rhythms:

Our Values:

Lordship

We value Lordship because everything we do comes from and is pointed toward Jesus. Through the gospel we are freed to make Christ central in our lives (Rom. 11:36, Col. 1:16, Heb. 4:14-16).

The Word

We value the word of God, knowing that God speaks through the Word. The Word is the first authority in our lives. Through the gospel, we can be renewed in the Word and be empowered to pursue joyful obedience to the scriptures (John 1:1, 2 Timothy 3:16, Isaiah 40:8, Romans 12:2).

Unity

We value unity because Jesus prayed for us to become one as he and the Father are one. Through the gospel we are united and made one with Christ, and this unity with one another reflects the power of the gospel to the world around us (John 17:23, Galatians 3:28, Romans 12:16, Romans 15:6).

Diversity

We value racial, ethnic, cultural, and generational diversity, knowing that it displays the unifying work of Jesus in the life of the believer. Diversity also empowers us to better understand and engage culture and people across the city and around the world (Gal. 3:28, 1 Cor. 9:20-22, Rev. 21:24).

City

We value the city because the gospel calls us to seek the welfare of it. Through the gospel, we can pursue the work of renewal in the communities we reside in. As a church, we aim to see God’s Kingdom come in San Marcos on earth as it is in heaven (Jeremiah 29:7; Matthew 5:16).

Generosity

We value generosity, knowing that new life in Christ is a generous gift from the Father. Through the gospel, we are called and empowered to steward the whole of our lives for the glory of God and advancement of His Kingdom (Ephesians 2:8, 1 Peter 4:10, 2 Cor. 9:7, 1 John 3:17, Psalm 112:5).

Family

We value family, knowing that humanity was created to be in family relationships, first with God, then with each other. Through the gospel, we are called and empowered to pursue a renewed family community, marked by love, with God and with those around us (Eph. 4:2-6, Jn. 13:34-35).
